Reports coming in that lives are being changed again by rising gasoline prices.
Once again we have solid proof that the rise and fall of oil costs is costing american economic health. So when people post to my solar blog complaining about the cost of subsidizing renewables, they are quickly forgetting the cost of the unexpected rises and falls of gasoline prices.
We can expect increased media attention (they do go where “fear” seems to live) as the summer approaches and people are beginning to make plans. I expect that activities like boating or long RV trips may be affected, while we can also expect to see rising airline flight costs as well. We’ll see added focus on stationary activities like camping or simply, people will stay at home and find things to do around the house.
One good thing about solar power, the sun comes up no matter who is voted (or not) into office, no matter what is going on anywhere else in the world. If you want to increase american energy supply security, just look up…
