Stockwell Day’s name was added to the Sunlogics PLC board list on the sunlogics.com website.
I met Stockwell in 2002 in Ottawa when he and his wife were attending a gathering put on by Prime Minister Chretien in honor of visiting African dignitaries. We spent a good amount of time chatting about family and the future of renewable energy in the Canadian economy.
He strikes me as a very valuable addition to any board of a company wishing to engage in Canadian job creation, and in particular exports to Asia. I think he’s going to be a great voice of reason on this board of directors, and commend the leadership of Sunlogics for such a high profile “acquisition”.
In the face of mounting pressures to deliver following the investments received from GM, the sunlogics team would do well to listen to this man, as he has a history of delivering and is not afraid to speak his mind, even when his position may not be the most popular one around.
