Afraid it won’t last long enough?

Ha, ha. Gotcha! This solar blog post is about range anxiety, not the other kind you might have been thinking about!

Seems that after a short while with electric cars at home, owners are less prone to being anxious about it than when they first get their cars. This article shows that most owners are no longer worried about the range capacity of their EVs although all would love to have longer duration of power (stop it…you’re blushing!).

The reality is that everyone remotely connected to the EV world is working hard on longer lasting batteries, more efficient drive trains and lowering costs. It will come and it won’t be much more to wait for a range of various brands to hit this market, begin to lower the use of the rare earth minerals required in today’s batteries and bring down the recharging times through new technologies.

Mortimer, don’t bet that $1 against EVs…this time you’ll lose.

PS. One important note…I did not obtain a license from GM to use the term “range anxiety”, since the trademark application they put into the US Patent and Trademark Office has not yet gone through. And no, see here, I’m not kidding…
