iSun provides more iFun with iPhone and iPod…

OK, sometimes I’m cheesy yet I have my right to have some fun too! Today we announced the iSun(R) brand will be revived with a range of innovative pocketable devices for road warriors and urban explorers.

We finally retarget the billions of mobile electronic devices that are always running out of power. Its a new range that will feature all of the chararacteristics which my old friend Po always focused on “portable, scalable, modular”. Each of them will have some or all of these attributes to varying degrees. The key, as always, is the user experience. So if you think of how much iFUN it is to user your iPod or iPhone, it will be just as easy and fun to use your iSuns…

Congratulations! Lot of people are waiting for this to hit the market. What kind of cells does the ISun use? A-Si or CIGS or OPV? Are there any photos you guys can mail me? When are they exactly going to be on the store-shelves?

    Thanks

    Dear Sass,

how far is the development? Have you thought to make them compatible with Blackberry or the chinese version iorgane?

You see we have now summer and it could be a good opportunity to make some E-Sales.

People have to know how relaxed it is to be independant even if they are at the beach, at a park at camping etc.

I understand that ICP has limited marketing budgets, but clients only come if they know that something exist that they could need.

And from my point of view ICP´s supply is limited, so clients have to hurry before things are sold out.

Maybe ICP can provide only 500.000-1 Million units per year while there are already plenty times more who have such mobiles. First come, first serve.

Such a product has potential to be a cash cow if adjusting the models every year to the new versions of phones as well customer demands.

To introduce the products you could offer in the beginning only a small ammount of a special production that you only offer for celebrities and that is avaialble earlier. If the products are good then this will give some positive feedbacks in public and so can help to promote.

Something that others cannot have, because of the limited edition, is often a reason to make a purchasing decision as long items are available.

Why buy people Mobile covers made of gold and diamonds? Because they exist and are limited.

Also see the chance of working directly together with Apple. They have large responsibility and so run modern CSR straegies.

The energy consumption from all mobiles and computers is huge. Therefore it could fit into their strategy to combine with solar techs in order to run a sustainable business.

As long you do not ask them you will never find out, what could be possible and what not.

There definetely would be chances for win-win situations.

I know engineers are no marketeers, but you sit on a Gold mine and think too much how to run it perfectly instead of going out to sell the gold that you already found.

Even if you are unsure when the product will be finished, why not offer a presale?

Presales are valuable, because there are not much different than account receivables.

ICP has limited production capacity and so ICP also on b2b level could offer via presale or an option x units of the a future product line. Just do not fix the final delivery and leave a backdoor for a higher price if production cost and total expenses exceed the initial price.

Always say that only a limited ammount is possible. All large companies require economies of scale and so it is more likely that one or two large MNC at least will want an obligation on the output of ICP.

If you can produce 1 million units than a trader could earn with this 1-10 million Dollar or more. A retail chain for mobiles then certainly also would earn 5-100 million profit.

And this is why they are interested in large quantity.
