Solar blog question du jour: “Why do we need an earth day?” (Same question my mom always asked the same question about Valentines). Even Google makes a big deal of today..
Fact is.. every day should be Earth Day. We may talk, we may show appreciation, yet acting is the best way to change the world’s habits towards greater recognition of the importance of supporting and enhancing our global environment, instead of taking, depleting or destroying it. I have decided to change my car in two years for an EV. By then, there should be plenty of choice and range will have increased substantially. I also will install a solar system on my house roof (despite it not being so great financially in Quebec where hydro costs are razor sharp).
Celebrate earth day tomorrow and the day after that, and you will truly give meaning to today. Your children will thank you.
