The reality is never to be argued with. Western countries have determined that the next great wave of investment is in technology which can permit self-sufficiency, whether electric vehicles or renewable/clean power technologies. So the question begs…how low are the oil producing countries ready to lower the price of oil and for how long? More importantly…does it really matter?
The world has been stung by the recent spikes in the cost of oil sourced energy. Memories are not short. The value of consistency has spiked as a result. The age of self-powering homes, businesses and other institutions is upon us. The utilities will simply be distributors of power generated by others. They will act as the conduits for energy produced on a home roof, or a pole mounted wind turbine.
